Verlangen

English translation below

Wereldwijd!

Desire
We've been back home in the Netherlands for 14 days. There are six mobile phones ready to make the trip to Liberia - found under tables, under beds and on cellar shelves. The lines of communication between me and the project team and the young people are opening, through Facebook, LinkedIn and e-mail. We received a fantastic subsidy last week (we are very pleased with it; we are so eager for the school to reopen!) And I really only want one thing: to return to Liberia.

It's really great to have water coming from the tap at any time during the day, that Internet is so fast and that there is no dust in my nose and ears ....
But it's so strange. You take all these awkward circumstances for granted when you see how strong the bond is and how strong the drive is to encourage and help each other. When I see the projects on our website, I know that Kuluboh, Mary and Joe have worked hard to shape the various plans they have made. I know they are doing everything to bring the community on board, although this is not easy. I know that the "Just Say No" MF Club is busy rehearsing part 2 of the drama. How is Victor doing? And Elsie? Can Ernest and Melvin keep the youth together and enthusiastic? And the elderly people.....?

It's funny, but in one of the correspondences with the youth, I read: "I visited the MF website and saw something of the work you are doing to tell the world about Dabwe Town and JSN MF Club. Bravo ..... " Well, my word. Here we are in the Netherlands, scraping together euros, resources and materials .... and in Liberia, they are encouraging us tell the world about Dabwe Town! Well, people, just watch. You will definitely hear more about this!

We had a reunion of sorts last week, the three of us. So many plans are fizzing and bubbling. But we will continue step by step. First, the generator for the office, the sound system for the JSN MF club and the start of the soap making and pastry project. Do you have any wild ideas or do you want to chip in to help Dabwe Town? Have you seen the donate button on the MF website? We really need your support, so help us spread the word! Worldwide!
